Michael Sheehan was first elected to the Village Board in 2013 serving the Village as Trustee for seven years. After a short hiatus, Mr. Sheehan, a long time resident of La Grange Park was appointed to the Village Board in December of 2020. Trustee Sheehan looks forward to continuing to serve the residents of La Grange Park.
Mr. Sheehan recently retired after serving for nearly 35 years in the public utility sector. He attended Morton College where he studied Computer Science. As an active member of the community, Mr. Sheehan has served as the President of the La Grange Park Lions Club and as a former chairperson, Vice-Chair and Treasurer of the La Grange Park Caucus. He has also served on the Pastoral Council of St. Louise De Marillac Church and continues to serve the Church in other capacities.
Mr. Sheehan's interest in serving on the Village Board stems from a “strong passion for La Grange Park and its residents and the calling to give back to the community.” He believes he can contribute his “dedication and experience to keep La Grange Park a great place to live both now and in the future.” Prior to being elected Village Trustee, Mr. Sheehan served on the Village’s Plan Commission for 18 years and on the Library Board for four years.
