Construction Updates - Week Ending June 7, 2024
Edgewood/Richmond Water Main Replacement Project:
The Village selected the low bidder, Unique Plumbing of Brookfield, as the contractor for the water main replacement project along Edgewood from Ogden to Woodlawn and Richmond from Park to Edgewood. The new water main will go under the east side (Edgewood) and the south (Richmond) sidewalks, which include new valves, fire hydrants, and 1½” water service from the main to the boxes.
June 14, 2024 Update:
Unique Plumbing continues to make great strides with the water main installation. This week, they completed installing the new main up to Richmond, including the 10”x10”x10”10” cross at Richmond. With the 300 blocks completed, they added water to this stretch and will pressure test this section next week, potentially chlorinating and sampling. Next week, they will cross Edgewood towards the dead end of Richmond towards Nazareth and potentially install the new main along Richmond to Malden. Check back next week for another update.
