Construction Updates - Week Ending April 8, 2022
Permeable Pavement/Green Infrastructure Intersections: Copenhaver is making progress, but the weather continues to cause delays. The contractor completely removed all remaining soil for the storage area, completed the fabric barrier installation, installed the underdrains, and backfilled the entire intersection with stone. Final grading will occur on Monday. This week, the contractor began working on the Sherwood intersection by stock piling gravel, removing the portion of the roadway where the water main work will take place on Tuesday. Check back next week for another update.
Sewer Point Repair Project: The Village's contractor, Unique Plumbing, will begin the point repairs to various failing sewer pipe sections. The start date for this project is April 11th. During the repairs, individual blocks may be closed down to vehicle traffic during the workdays to provide a safe work environment for the contractors. Residents may have access to their driveway impacted if a repair is directly in front of their home. This project's workflow includes the 600 blocks of Spring and Stone. The repairs are scheduled to last approximately two weeks.
