- Community Programs
The La Grange Park Police Department’s Adopt-A-Cop program began in 1999 as a means for providing elementary school-aged children in our community with positive, non-threatening opportunities to learn more about our police officers.
Citizens Police Academy
A guiding principle of the La Grange Park Police Department is that we, as an agency, build and maintain positive relationships with the residents of our great Village.
Coffee With the Chief
Two to three times a year, Chief Contois and members of his staff hold evening discussion forums we call Coffee with the Chief.
Door Hanger Program
When La Grange Park police officers are on patrol, they oftentimes encounter conditions at residents’ homes that make those locations vulnerable targets for criminals.
La Grange Park Police Department officers value opportunities for daily, personal interactions with the citizens we serve.
National Night Out
National Night Out is an annual campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie in order to make our Village a safer, more caring place to live.
Police Department Tours
Any individual or group who would like to have a guided tour of the Police Department’s facilities is welcome to request a guided tour, which are conducted by on-duty officers.
School Safety Initiative
The La Grange Park Police Department places a high priority on ensuring school environments within our community are safe, conducive to learning, and free from the kinds of disruptions that negatively impact students’ lives and the educational process.
