Community Assisted Rides (Formerly Interfaith Community Partners)
More than just a ride! Community Assisted Rides (CARS) champions older adults by providing them with convenient ride services and supportive, friendly community outreach. Over 40% of our clients live alone, and many are hearing or vision impaired and experience memory or mobility challenges that can make it difficult for them to leave home on their own.
The CARS mission is to maximize the independence and well-being of older adults by enabling connections with others in their community. We make sure that our VIPs—Very Important Passengers—have company and companionship as they get to where they need to go, whether that is the doctor’s office, fitness class, church or the grocery store. With a foundation of dignity, safety and community, CARS unites generations through our commitment to older adults’ well-being. To learn more about CARS’ services or volunteer opportunities call (708) 354-9328 or visit their website.
