Department Overview

The Public Works Department manages maintenance of the Village's infrastructure as well as the design and construction of infrastructure improvements.  The Department also manages parkway trees and provides a variety of seasonal services to residents.

Daily operations of the Public Works Department include the operation and maintenance of the Village's sanitary and storm sewer systems, streets and sidewalks, street signs and traffic control signs, street lights, fleet and equipment, and building and grounds. The Public Works Department operates the Village's Water Treatment Plant and maintains the water distribution system, which together deliver high-quality drinking water to all residents and businesses. 

The Department is comprised of a director, eight maintenance workers, and office manager and supplemented by two to four seasonal workers.

Public Works is mainly a field based operation, as a resident you can utilize the request tracker or leave a phone message and someone will respond no later than 3 business days, most calls are returned within 24 hours.
